Our Story
Girl Breathe started from a real and honest place, I was tired.
Tired of always being on.
Tired of pouring into everyone else.
Tired of feeling like rest had to be earned.
As a therapist, I saw so many women carrying the same weight, showing up, holding it together, being strong… but underneath feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.
And if I’m being real….I saw myself in them too.
I also realized how easy it is to get so caught up in life that we lose connection—not just with ourselves, but with God. We stay busy, we keep pushing, but we don’t make space to be still and hear Him.
And somewhere along the way… He met me on my mat.
In those quiet moments: breathing, slowing down, just being, I experienced God’s presence in a deeper way. Not in the rush, not in the pressure, but in the stillness.
That’s when everything shifted.
I realized we didn’t just need more to do.
We needed space to pause. To feel. To be still with God.
To hear Him clearly. To be restored.
Girl Breathe was created to be that space.
A space where you can exhale.
A space where you can slow down and be still.
A space where you can reconnect with God and come back to yourself: mind, body, and spirit.
Because this is more than wellness.
This is restoration.
This is returning to God… and to who you are in Him.
Meet the Founder
Girl Breathe was born from my own journey of burnout, faith, and healing.
As the oldest of five from Oak Cliff, Texas, I spent my life caring for others and neglecting myself. Years of pushing too hard led to severe burnout and a hospital admission. That wake-up call taught me that true healing happens when we invite God into the process and learn to care for ourselves.
After finding peace through mindfulness, meditation, and yoga, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). In 2020, I co-created Girl Breathe with God — a faith-centered space where women can disconnect from the chaos, reconnect with God, and nurture their mind, body, and spirit.
Through therapy, guided meditation, yoga, and journaling, Girl Breathe helps women who give so much to others finally give back to themselves. Because I’ve been there, and I know the power of inviting God into the journey.
Here, you are seen, heard, and supported. Let’s heal, grow, and learn to breathe again — together.
